Climate change is a major threat to our wildlife. Although climate change is happening here and now, there is a lot we can do to make sure that we avoid the worst case scenarios.

The Wildlife Trust's are leading the way in helping species to adapt to the changing climate through our living landscapes work, and in helping to avoid dangerous climate change by encouraging everyone to adopt a lower carbon lifestyle and become a 'Climate Friend'.

We want to show how becoming a climate friend will not only help to protect our wildlife and natural environment; it will also save you money, improve your health and help support our local economy.

Action

ThrushTackling climate change requires positive action at all levels. We can all do our bit at the individual level, but we also need local, national and international governments to put in place the measures needed to reduce carbon emissions and make it easier for everyone to adopt a more climate friendly lifestyle.

The Wildlife Trusts are committed to campaigning for climate change action - including both avoidance and adaptation - but for this to work we need the support of as many people as possible.
