Climate Friendly Schools
Tackling climate change requires positive action at all levels from as many people as possible. Schools have an important role to play in promoting climate friendly living as they are the only common learning experience for all young people in the UK. Through taking a whole school approach to climate friendly living you will be able to offer an exciting education programme that integrates across the curriculum, while also saving money.
A sustainable school ethos can make a positive difference to climate change through reducing carbon emissions as well as offering a practical and interactive learning environment for pupils. This can have a real impact on communication within your school and improve the behaviour of pupils. Reducing carbon emissions can also benefit the health, fitness and emotional well being of pupils and staff, while also ensuring their future quality of life.
